We are a Nonprofit

All BLOCK Project donations are received by Facing Homelessness, and are 100% tax deductible. Facing Homelessness is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN # 46-2376967). In Seattle, the median price of a single family home is more than $700,000. For the same price, we end homelessness for 20 people living unsheltered in our community. The success of the BLOCK Project pilot will represent an innovative leap forward on the issues of homelessness, cross-¬≠class integration, social inclusion, and architectural design.

*All funds donated to the BLOCK Project are intended to directly support project implementation, including but not limited to: building materials, home construction, educational and promotional installations and materials, technology, fundraising expenses, limited meals and travel, project management, legal and accounting fees, and office supplies. To the extent that funds raised are not used in direct support of the BLOCK Project, they will be committed to the mission of Facing Homelessness.

Fully Funded Homes

A BLOCK Project Team Leader is an individual, family, group, team, or company that sponsors a BLOCK Resident by raising $35,000 to build a BLOCK Home. Team Leaders can directly contribute the funds, or leverage their networks to raise the funds over a 30-60 day period. Team Leaders are given first priority for Community Build Days, and are invited to offer ongoing support to their BLOCK Resident.
